A Place Called Home Ministries was called by God to do many things for hurting children and young adults, therefore they have many purposes.
1. My Father's House~ A Children's Home for children and young adults in need that provides grace, hope, security, love and "a place to call home".
2. To be a voice for America's Orphans, those that are in the foster care system whether temporarily or permanently and those waiting for a forever family of their very own.
3. To join forces with other organizations to meet the needs of these kids whether in the system, those that are homeless, those waiting for forever families, or the wonderful families that care for these kids. APCHM helps to meet the needs physically, emotionally, financially, and spiritually.
4. Horses of Hope~ An equine therapy ministry to help teach responsibility while offering the love and healing that these precious animals give.
5. Development of an Entrepreneurial Program to develop skills and future purpose for teens and young adults so they can be successful in life. This will include the development of several different business ventures.
A Place Called Home also exists to help other families that give their lives to love and help precious children by supplying large ticket items (room additions, larger vehicle etc.) to help them get started. A Place Called Home is offering grants to those families who meet the requirements and have a need.. A Place Called Home currently houses 10 children with the potential to help many more. We are currently renovating and expanding the existing home and still need to finish multiple projects including: finish additional bedrooms, complete a larger laundry facility, add a fireplace to the family room to reduce heating costs, expand kitchen and make it more efficient, regrade the driveway, build and outfit a tack shed to support equine therapy, and build a storage building for children's clothing, bedding and household items.
