Need for Space
We
A Place Called Home currently houses 11-13 children with the potential to help many more. We are currently renovating and expanding the existing home and still need to finish multiple projects including: finish additional bedrooms, complete a larger laundry facility, add a fireplace to the family room to reduce heating costs, expand kitchen and make it more efficient, regrade the driveway, a larger septic system, build and outfit a tack shed to support equine therapy, and build a storage building for children's clothing, bedding and household items.
NEED
Space
This ministry is reaching children that are really hurting and that need a tremendous amount of prayer. They often come with an exceptional amount of baggage. Many of them have never felt unconditional love or had a positive influence in their life. If you would like to become one of our prayer partners please contact us.
A Place Called Home is also in need of a large passenger bus (30+ Passengers) to help with the daily transportation of the children. A Place Called Home also exists to help other families that give their lives to love and help precious children by supplying large ticket items (room additions, larger vehicle etc.) to help them get started. We also help provide Christmas to children in need through gifts and sponsoring local giving trees.
We are diligently working on multiple local and national fundraising opportunities. Opportunities for volunteering are opening up in many different areas. They range from administration assistance to construction projects, to leg work in golf tournaments and holiday giving. This organization relies strongly on time, service, and monetary donations.
